Bournemouth Beach is hugely poular for 2 reasons - it is right in the centre of town and it's a great beach - clean, safe and it sometimes even has surf!

Durley Chine is an ideal family beach. Awarded Blue Flag status, this golden sandy beach is clean, safe and has all the facilities you'd expect

Alum Chine is a Blue Flag beach so has a good range of facilities including huts, disabled access, children's play area and paddling pool

A wide, sandy beach backed by a promenade. All facilities including beach huts, shop, bar and restaurant. Good disabled access and a safe swim zone.

Boscombe Beach is really a continuation of the beach at Bournemouth. Pretty much the same - clean, safe etc - but a little less crowded

One of Poole's more tranquil beaches. Wide and sandy, with toilets and an ice cream kiosk. Village shops half a mile away.

Sandbanks Beach is backed by some of the most expensive property in Europe, this may give an indication of the quality of the beach. Long, sandy and winner of numerous blue flag awards

Southbourne Beach is a Blue Flag beach to the west of Christchurch. As you would expect it offers clean, safe bathing and all the family facilities

Yet another Blue Flag beach in Bournemouth! Fisherman's Walk is a popular spot for watersports and not quite as packed as the other town beaches
